What is the Service?
D I S offers a variety of project management
skills and services to Arkansas agencies, boards,
commissions, and institutes for individual
project management needs, as well as multi-agency
and state-wide projects affecting state government.
The Project Management service utilizes a consistent
approach for Information Technology (I T) project
management that is based on proven methods,
techniques, and best practices defined by Project
Management Institute (P M I).
D I S can provide this service for customers
that may not have in-house I T project management
resources available or budget to maintain full-time
staff for this role.

D I S staff includes experienced Project Management
Professionals (P M P) who have internationally
recognized P M P certifications through P M

Guided by experience, methodology, standards,
and templates, D I S Project Managers can provide:

What should the customer expect?
The D I S Project Manager’s goal is
to fully satisfy the customer’s objectives
within defined scope, budget, and schedule.
The customer will have experienced leadership,
documented plans, and regular progress reports,
including cost and schedule status.
All of this is provided with billing rates
that are competitive or below commercially
available alternatives.

Customer Responsibilities
The customer accepts responsibility to provide
project requirements, decisions, and customer
resources to meet the project requirements
based on the agreed project tasks and schedule.
The customer is responsible for designating
the customer sponsor and contact. D I S customer
account representatives must have sufficient
knowledge associated with the project scope
and customer agency’s expectations and
be available to actively participate in the
project effort.
Lead Time
Lead times vary and depend upon the details
of the service needed.
